These detectors can provide unobstructed 90-degree coverage up to 12m with PET immunity for a cat or dog weighing up to 36kg. You will need to use one of the kit detectors in the room where you would like the main control panel. We would recommend a detector in:
• any room where you keep high-value items,
• any room where there could be a vulnerable entry point (e.g. a large opening ground-floor window or a flat/sloping roof which gives easy access to a first-floor window),
• the room first entered when coming down the stairs to the ground floor (usually a hallway).
Not bathrooms due to the condensation
For a conservatory, we recommend a ‘combined shock detection contact’ fitted to the external doors and windows which you feel are vulnerable.
For a garage, we recommend a ‘combined shock detection contact’ fitted to any doors and windows which you feel are vulnerable in addition to a heavy-duty garage door contact on each vehicle door.
