All the CSL alarm signalling hardware we install meets the latest European alarm standards which satisfies insurance requirements. The single path unit we install is categorised as SP2 and the dual path unit can be DP2, DP2+, DP3 or DP4. The dualcom pro fire is only available as DP2 and is EN54 certified.
As a SSAIB certificated company we can look to apply for police response on your behalf providing that the system is monitored (or is going to be monitored) and conforms to the latest standards.
Single path uses only one ATS to connect the system to the ARC (alarm receiving centre) and dual path uses two ATS.
ATS stands for alarm transmission service. Types of ATS are IP (the internet), radio (the mobile phone networks) or PSTN (landline telephone technology which is being phased out). The CSL units we install use one or two of these ATS paths. Single path monitoring is usually IP only or radio only. Dual path monitoring is usually IP & radio or radio/radio (uses two mobile phone sim cards).
We install grade 2 and grade 3 systems with notification grades 2, 3 or 4. The grade is usually determined by your insurance company based on a risk analysis. The higher the grade the better the level of protection. CSL units are available in notification grades SP2 (system grade 2 only for single path monitoring), DP2, DP2+, DP3 and DP4. A SP2 unit has a catastrophic failure reporting time of 25 hours, compared to a DP4 unit which is 3 minutes.
